I usually use this type of nail trimmer for my cats but had never purchased this particular brand. Although the blades were sharp, the scissors did not open and close easily. They are not very good quality but if you only need to use them occasionally they would probably be ok.

These fell apart after a few uses. I guess you get what you pay for.
