I have to give him the pill in a pillpocket (after many attempts otherwise), but he takes it very easily now.

I give my 17 pound pomeranian two of these tablets because the green one is too big a pill for her to swallow. My vet says the additional pill can't hurt the dog. My only concern is that the pills are coated. The coating prevents full digestion of the pill as observed by me on many occasions when the whole pill is seen in the dog's stool. I get around this by scoring the tablet with a razor before administering to the dog. I just wonder how much of the active ingredient is getting into the dog and not being destroyed by the stomach acids (the reason for the coating, I'm told)
