I have a 13 yr old cat with liver disease. He has been on denamarin for several months now-on a continuing dose he remains active without symptoms of the disease. I have compared the cost of denamarin more than once and have repeatedly found VetDepot to have the best price. The med is exactly what I would receive buying it directly from my vet.

Recommended by my veterinarian. I've used this as well as the Denosyl which is SAMe alone. Both products seem to work as both my cats improved after being placed on a regular regimen. Dosing is a little tricky since the cat needs to be fasted when it's given and then can't eat for another hour. If that schedule can be worked out, it's an effective medication.

My cat has liver disease and my vet recommended Denamarin, although they offer it in capsule form same product for $35 I choose to order online for much less. The shipment was fast I think it was two business days! According to my research this site has the most detailed description of this product and that is a plus. At the beginning I struggled with administrating the tablet, I went to the vet and asked if they could show me, after waiting 30min, I was told everyone was busy, I was speechless! I looked it up on youtube.com there are really good videos how to do that, even with that plastic tool the lady gave me was more trouble than just knowing how to open the cat's mouth. The tablets are small and easy to popout from the aluminum pack. My cat is improving with baby steps I only hope he will put on weight and soon stabilize; but the vet said giving him Denamarin might be longterm. I put my little 4 pound Yorkie back on Denamarin again and it was amazing how quickly it brought her blood work down to normal. Have used this SAMe supplement for our 16 yr old cat for a low grade liver problem. He is doing great with this supplement. Very easy for him to swallow. Used to get this product from PETrx but they stopped supply. Hope Vetdepot keeps it available. Great product!

I buy this product for my bichon/maltese mix with a liver shunt. I first bought the chewable denamarin but he would not take it, so now I buy the tablet and pop down his throat every morning. Since he has been on it he has not had any seizures. I am sure that it is one of the factors that helps him, I changed his diet also. But the price on the denamarin is really good and their shipping is fast.

I have had two pets on Denamarin due to disease and/or medications causing elevated liver enzymes. Denamarin lowered and stabilized the enzyme levels. Our beloved elderly cat, Cindy, has been diagnosed with terminal kidney disease. Our vet prescribed Denamarin as part of a regimen to try to keep her stable for as long as we can. So far it's working! At the vet's it's more expensive than we can handle, so I hunted for it online, and found it here at a price we can afford. Last week, she found one of the battered catnip toys belonging to our younger male, Pixel, and suddenly she was tossing it up and catching it, batting it around, and finally chewing on it and trying to disembowel it - something she hasn't done in nearly a year! Denamarin is one of the best products I have ever used. An ultrasound and liver biopsy of my beautiful Norwegian forest cat showed "marked hepatic lipidosis" in August 2009.
