Within a day or so, the my Beagle puppy's fleas were completely gone. And it's so much easier than the messy Frontline application (did I apply it correctly? Did I do it right? Will it wash out?)



Just a quick once-a-month dose and I have a flea-free puppy!!

I'm a dog groomer, so I get to see a lot of different dogs using different products, and their effectiveness. Comfortis has completely blown me away by how fast it works, and how completely it kills fleas. My dog is highly allergic to fleas, so it's essential that I get a product that works. This summer we had a horrible flea problem, and even after treating my house she was infested. I put her on Comfortis and within 12 hours all the fleas on her were dead.



One thing that people don't usually understand about flea treatments is that it does not keep fleas from biting their pet, it only kills them once they do bite. However, with proper treatment of your house, yard, and pet bedding, comfortis works incredibly, and I can't see any possibility of re-infestation now that my dog is on it!

So far so good with Comfortis, the last flea med I used was topical and caused more skin issues. My dog hasn't had any breakouts which is great so I would totally recommend this.

Cheapest place to buy Comfortis, as well as many other products! Bought this for my mini dachshund, and she's not had a single flea since. Tolerated it very well. Def would buy again. Fast shipping is also a big plus, plus the tracking emails are up to date as well. No worries and was hassle free. =)

I use this product on my 2 Italian Greyhounds and it works quite well. I just think that it is a bit pricey for it. It would be a great product if it were more affordable, how many dogs miss out because the cost is not affordable to the pet owner.

I've been giving this flea treatment to my mini-Schnauzer for over a year and he has had no fleas and has never had any bad reaction to Comfortis. VetDepot provided the best price of any site I reviewed.

Under my vet's direction, we changed from Frontline Plus to Comfortis on our 2 dogs. It is easy to administer and isn't messy. Our dogs became immune to the flea protection of Frontline Plus. We haven't seen any fleas after the first administration. My only concern is ticks. There is no mention of any protection from ticks.

Comfortis works great and my 4 dogs are flea free. I had been using Advantage for years with limited results. Fleas have become resistant. Comfortis works great on my poodles and fleas are dead in 1/2 hour after pill. It even works on my seizure prone poodle with no bad side effects(give half strength). Pills are easy to give, the dogs like them and VetDepot is great about getting prescription from vet in a timely fashion. The price is so much better than at my vet which is $15.00 a pill.

Originally my vet decided to give my pet dogs (Lhasa Apso and Bijon Frisee) Comfortis because of concern about reaction to the topical medicines I previously used. It stopped any fleas immediately and I have been buying it since from Vetdepot (the staff is friendly and helpful too).

Product worked great. Had flea epidemic and Advantage was not working so I tried this and fleas were gone in 24 hours. I have a seizure prone dog and he had no reaction to Comfortis. Last summer, my 3 dogs were ALL infested with fleas, despite regular application of Frontline. Our vet recommended Comfortis and we haven't had a problem since.

Don't bother with Advantage or Frontline. Comfortis works 100%. Just a small tablet with food once a month, and there are no fleas. Not one.

I tried 2 other flea products, both with less than stellar performances. I bought Comfortis from Vet Depot; it was less expensive than any other pet supply company, arrived in 2 days, and has worked AMAZINGLY well! I couldn't be happier with Comfortis AND Vet Depot.

I had trouble finding affordable Comfortis for my dog. After trying multiple veterinarian offices and another website, this was a good balance between what was cheapest price and it was quick delivery to the house.

Works quickly and simply eliminates worry about flea problems. Our dog vomited up his first pill (warned this might happen), but never vomited again after taking his monthly pill. He has been on Comfortis for over 3 years.

I have a mini-Schnauzer who is 7 and luckily, have had only one flea infestation but for anyone who has had a similar experience, even one can be a nightmare. He was on Advantix when I noticed him scratching, something he rarely does. Sure enough, I later discovered he had fleas, lots of them. My house had fleas, lots of them - everywhere. I applied more Advantix but it did not kill them, I treated him with flea shampoo and that killed the fleas on him momentarily until the ones already in my house jumped back on him and infested him again. I spent literally hundreds of dollars on flea sprays for the house with growth inhibitors and Fipronil insecticide but the fleas always came back. I had my carpets treated and steam cleaned to kill the eggs but they miraculously survived and I again found fleas throughout my house. In desperation, I called my vet and he recommended Comfortis, an oral medication that is a neurotoxin for certain invertebrates such as fleas with minimal adverse reaction for my poor infested pooch who by this time had bare patches of skin where he had scratched away his fur. The vet told me that the fleas will begin to die within 15 minutes of administering the drug and sure enough that is exactly what happened. Fleas started to fall off my canine friend dying within minutes and within a few days, I could find none on my dog and within a week, none in my house either. Whenever a flea somewhere in my house sensed the dog and jumped on for a meal, the first bite killed it within minutes and that is how the infestation in my house was finally eliminated - one flea at a time.



Unlike all the other products, Comfortis kills any flea within minutes after it bites the dog once. Growth inhibitors prevent the female flea from producing viable offspring but she she and all her friends survive for weeks biting the poor animal every time they are hungry and biting you if they fell off your dog and discovered that you're almost as tasty as Fido.



Remember to always give the medication with food as this decreases adverse reactions. Fortunately, my dog has had no real problems taking this drug and at worse, seems a bit lethargic for a few hours after he gets it with his food. I read some horror stories online about Comfortis but my pet has done fine with it. Speak to your vet to make sure your pet is healthy enough to take this medication. My vet told me that he is unaware of any significant problems resulting from this medication and he has recommended it to thousands of pet owners. The worse he has seen is vomiting soon after giving the dog the pill and usually, the owner didn't feed the dog as recommended by the manufacturer.

We have a 15 lb. Cavalier Spaniel. Used Advantage for a year. It became ineffective. Then used Frontline Plus the next year. It too became ineffective. Both would work for a few weeks, then the effectiveness wears out. If the dog needed a bath more than once a month, I had to reapply. Comfortis runs a few bucks more and requires a prescription. BUT IT WORKS! One small kibble-sized chew tablet with her food, and I don't find fleas or eggs (looks like black sand) anymore. No side affects with my dog.



San Diego is friendly to fleas for 9 months out of the year. I also suggest that you buy a bottle of Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) for your lawn (if you have heavy infestations). It goes on the end of your garden hose, and you can spray the yard to kill and prevent fleas from coming back in the yard (for seven months). I did this last year (used half the bottle for my medium sized back yard) and have not had to do it this year.
