After finally getting a diagnosis of Cushing's disease, we began treatment with trilostane. While we are still adjusting the dose, many symptoms are disappering like ravenous appetite, excessive urination, the pot-bellied look, and a general lethargy. The dog has been on it less than two months, but very good results so far!

Vetoryl worked wonders on our dog Dakota. His hair is back and he no longer has a rat's tail. It is fluffy and thick with hair again. He no longer has to go potty every 2 hours. The price is great!!!! Much cheaper than purchasing through the vet.

I believe the process in which you must have your vet call in and fax the prescription needs to be simplified! Other than that im happy with the results of the drug Vetoryl, my dog has shown much improvement.

Six months ago my 11+ year old mixed breed dog was diagnosed with Cushing's disease. He looked terrible, about a third of his hair had fallen out, was nearly 30 pounds over his normal 53-55 pound weight, and seemed to be acting his age. Today, he's lost almost all the weight, his fur is back and is black where it's supposed to be black, instead of the weird red color it was becoming, and he looks great! He's bouncing off the walls like he always used to be. If it wasn't for the white face and the cloudy eyes of an older dog, you would never know he's nearly 12 years old.

Although the price keeps creeping up on me ( a year ago I paid $7 less per box)- the pricing still beats 1800petmeds and the service/turnaround time is excellent!

Based on a difficult diagnosis, our dog was diagnosed with Cushing's disease. She is on 120 mg/day of trilostane. Her ravenous appetite has abated and her water intake is back to normal. Hair is beginning to grow back in the patches where she lost hair, and I am seeing a bit of restoration to her profile away from the "pot-bellied" look that Cushing's dogs have. So far so good! But, these treatments are long term and any side effects or dosage adjustments are yet to come.

We have a 12 year old black Lab. She suffered seizures for many years and was treated by more than one vet for the seizures. Fortunately, 2 years ago a new vet was able to find the cause of the seizures. She was diagnosed with Cushings disease. While the diagnosis was upsetting, this medications was prescribed to slow down the progression of the disease and to control the seizures and other symptoms. Our girl has not had a seizure since she started the medication, and she was having them daily before. She has had no adverse side effects. We are so grateful for Vetoryl!

My dog's Cushing's kind of snuck up on me. I thought he was just finally getting old. He always drank a lot, but then all the other symptoms popped up, and it was obvious it was a lot more than just being 11 years old. After being diagnosed, the symptoms reversed themselves very quickly, his coat filled back in and he lost the almost 32 pounds he had gained, and was in a few months, he looked like he had for his entire adult life, a slim 55 pounds, and bouncing off the walls crazy. In a couple weeks, he will be 12, and a year ago, I doubted he would be here.

Have been using Vetoryl now for 2 years with excellent results. There were some ups and downs, but this was typically a consequence of the amount of medication used, which we learned to calibrate (including the time intervals between twice daily application which we used).

wonderful results from this medication my cocker spanial is so much better. she has been on the vetoryl going on two years. her fur has grown back where she had bald spots, does not pant, drink and eat like she is starving. and has lost weight. she even runs back home after a walk. that is pretty good for a dog 16 years old.
