My wonderful Lily, a nine-year-old rescue and the perfect blend of poodle and lab (she may even be a Labradoodle) was slowing down. I knew that. But I did not realize how much pain she must be feeling until my husband brought home another rescue, a 6-month old Westie mix named Rusty. Lily took to him immediately, for she had never had a real playmate; but soon it became obvious something had to be done. She was having trouble getting up off the floor, after lying down. I remembered the vet had given Lily Rimadyl for an anal gland problem, and it had seemed to make her feel better generally. But on a regular basis, Rimadyl seemed cost prohibitive, at $1.20 per pill. But after a lot of research I ran across Vet Depot, who sold Rimadyl in 180-tablet lots, which worked out to be about 88 cents per pill. I called my vet and gave them a chance to match the price. When they refused I ordered from Vet Depot. I loved being able to pay through PayPal, and delivery was quick. Every morning, along with their vitamins, which I also bought at the same time, Lily gets her Rimadyl. She loves the taste, and now she can almost keep up with her little brother, Rusty, who, along with Rimadyl, has made a new woman out of Lily. I love knowing I'm doing the best I can to help her enjoy her golden years.
Rimadyl has really helped my older dog in his last few years. The arthritis has been so bad he could not walk up steps. With the help of the drug, he added about 3-4 functional years to his life. The prices here are so much better when you have a dog that takes 2 pills per day for the rest of his life.
We are very satisfied with the prompt service and price for the Rimadyl we routinely purchase.
Our bulldog, George, has been on Rimadyl for the past 7 years for treatment of hip dysplasia. He's 11 years old now and, though not as active as he used to be, is still a happy, pain free loving pet. I would recommend Rimadyl to anyone. He goes for routine bloodwork every year, and the medication has caused no ill effects on him.
