When the Vet diagnosed my dog with dry eye and would have to be on this ointment. I save $12.00 a tube by purchasing from Vet Depot, as I save $ on other purchases.

I appreciate their great customer service. I always recommend Vet Depot to family & friends for online pet purchases.

Pros:
  • If your dog's dry eyes don't get better with normal treatments, try this.
Cons:
  • No.
After trying several over the counter treatments for what I thought was simple dry eyes in my dog, I went to the vet and spent a lot of money to be told it was a little more complicated. Anyway, my vet gave me a script for Optimmune and it has worked extremely well on my dog's symptoms.

Nice that VetDepot takes care of getting the prescription from the vet. Price really good. I like the fact that I can order a tube and other items pay shipping and still spend less than one tube at the vet. Since my dog needs this medicine daily its nice to be able save money

When my bulldog was diagnosed with dry eye I started using an over the counter dry eye solution. I had to administer the dry eyes solution constantly throughout the day. The vet told me about this medication and I've been using it since. I use it twice daily and my dog's dry eye is under control. This medication is expensive, but it's worth it. And it was cheaper on VetDepot than at the vet.

Even though this medication is supposed to be for dogs, my veterinarian prescribed it for one of my cats that has chronic eye allergies. This has been a miracle medication for her. We have tried many other medications and this has been the only one to clear the irritation within a few days. She is now using it as needed.

Cons:
My veterinarian prescribed this for my German Shepherd who suffers from Pannus. Her inner eyelids were extremely swollen, the whites of her eyes were bloodshot, and she had a pretty good amount of discharge from her eyes quite frequently. We had tried a few other prescription medications to combat this problem – but her eyes really did not improve much. When we switched to this medication we noticed improvement within a week. The terrible red swelling in her inner eyelids completely went away, the whites of her eyes brightened – and she no longer gets any discharge from her eyes. At the last check with her veterinarian her eyes are in perfect shape – as long as she keeps getting the medication she should retain her eyesight for the rest of her life. This medication has been a godsend! I highly recommend it – really good stuff.
