I have been using these for about 18 years for all my little dogs. I call them treats, so on the 15th of every month, I substitute the Heartguard for a regular treat and they are so happy! It has kept all my "babies" happy and healthy! I don't have to worry they will get sick from heartworms. It like slipping vegetables into brownies for children, you know it's good for them and they think it is a treat! I would never change to any other brand EVER! I have been using Heartgard Plus for years. My dogs love it and think that it's a treat instead of medicine. I found the best price with VetDepot and the customer service was absolutely wonderful. They got the runaround from my vet's office but were very persistent and got the job done.

The proof is in the puddng I suppose. My dogs have been using Heartgard Plus for several years now and we all have no complaints. To begin with, they LOVE them and consider them a treat and will even "sit" to get one. They don't have a nasty oder which is important to me. They are easy to get out of the blister pack which keeps them nice and moist. The most important thing is that neither of my dogs have gotten heartworm which would just break my heart! All in all - I couldn't be happier. Oh, but one thing, while I would mortgage my house for the health of my beloved pets, these things are quite expensive and do make it hard on us in that respect - especially with more than one pet taking them 12 months a year. But that is the only negative for me.

Heartguard Plus chewables is a great product. I have a small dog that can spit out a pill even if it's buried in peanut butter and you place it down her throat and hold her mouth closed. The pill becomes a Houdini and sure enough, it ends up on our kitchen floor. Well not with the chewables. Both my dogs devour it as if it were a yummy treat. And my two little guys get straight A's on all their physicals. VetDepot obtains the prescription from your vet so you don't have to do anything...and their price cannot be beat.
