I have used the Heartgard brand for 20 years. In all this time I have never had any of my dogs test positive for heartworms. They have all loved the beef flavor and believe they are getting a treat. I have tried other chewable types but my dogs won't touch them. I also feel that Vetdepot has the best prices when compared to Petmeds or PetcareRX. I encourage everyone to use Heartgard Plus for all of their dogs needs.

Great product. Great price. But buying became a hassle due to the word "plus" missing from the first prescription which had to be mailed. Even when explained on the phone, they wouldn't ship. And another prescription had to be slow mailed. Due to the delay, Chrisy almost missed her due date.

We used to give Heartgard to our dogs until our Vet suggested we try the "all in one" medications for both fleas and heartworm that you mix in food. At first our dogs would eat the mixtures but over time, they refused and had to be coaxed. It was a big hassle. We're back to Heartgard chews because the dogs love them and gobble them right down and we are done and on our way. Simple, fast, effective.
