Description

The number one prescribed NSAID for canine pain relief

Rimadyl (Carprofen) 100mg, 60 Chewable Tablets inhibits the enzyme COX-2, which is involved in triggering inflammation. By doing this, Rimadyl is able to control your dog's arthritis pain, pain caused by hip or elbow dysplasia, and even postoperative pain with just a single dose for up to 24 hours. By reducing pain, even older arthritic dogs can stay active and continue to have a high quality of life.

These liver-flavored chewable tablets make Rimadyl easy to administer. Even though Rimadyl is not a cure for osteoarthritis, your dog may experience improvements in mobility in a matter of days. Plus, with your veterinarian's approval, Rimadyl may be given in addition to joint supplements to care for your pet's joint health even more.

    Directions

For oral administration, the manufacturer's recommended dose is 2 mg of Rimadyl per 1 lb of bodyweight (4.4 mg/kg) given every 24 hours. However, the dose can be divided and given every 12 hours as 1 mg per 1 lb of bodyweight (2.2 mg/kg). However, always follow your veterinarian's specific instructions for administering Rimadyl to your pet.

Remember, Rimadyl Caplets and Chewable Tablets are for use in dogs only. Do not administer to cats or other animals. Keep out of reach of pets and children.

My dog has an awful history of elbow dysplasia (surgery when she was 1 1/2, severe arthritis in both elbows). The vet increased the dosage of Rimadyl to 150 mg/day, an increase of 50 percent, and the recent lameness she was experiencing is gone. If this didn't work, she might not be here with us.

Thank you!

Our vet recommended Rimadyl for one of our German Shepherds whose hips are starting to give him some trouble. It seems to give him some relief. I was happy to find that VetDepot carried the product, because it is SO much cheaper than purchasing it at the vet's office.

This medication makes all the difference for my dog's ability to enjoy life. Without it, she hobbles around and holds her right back paw up. As long as she takes her med, she is playful and gets around just fine. We have not noticed any negative side effects.
