Lactulose 10 gm/15 mL, Pint (473 mL) is a synthetic sugar used to treat constipation and liver disease in pets. Lactulose generally works quickly to treat encephalopathy (liver disease) by lowering colon pH and reducing ammonia absorption to decrease the concentration of ammonia in the blood. It also soften stools and has a laxative effect.

My 8 year old pom mix was diagnosed with chronic liver disease and has to take lactulose for the rest of his life. Our vet told us he could have a few weeks or months to live. He has been doing well for over six months! It got to be very expensive buying lactulose through our vet. The great price and service have helped us through this trying time. Thank you Pet Depot!

The Lactulose was a huge help in helping my 8 year old collie tolerate a very uncomfortable pereneal Hernia for months. Would highly recommend to anyone who has a pet suffering for constipation.

I need to buy a lot of this since my dog has hepatic micro vascular dysplasia. Vets recommend it be given with every meal. When searching for the best price I found it here on VetDepot.
