    Description

    C.E.T.® ORAL HYGIENE RINSE

    Virbac

    ORAL HYGIENE

    Home Dental Care

    for Dogs and Cats

    FOR VETERINARY USE ONLY

INDICATIONS: C.E.T. Oral Hygiene Rinse contains ZincChlorhexidate™, a synergistic combination of two effective oral hygiene compounds to guard against plaque without brushing. ZincChlorhexidate™ combines chlorhexidine, the most effective antiplaque agent available, and zinc gluconate, a compound which inhibits plaque and calculus maturation, enhances the antiplaque activity of chlorhexidine and reduces bad breath. C.E.T. Oral Hygiene Rinse also contains cetylpyridium chloride for fresher, clean-smelling breath.

Use C.E.T. Oral Hygiene Rinse daily on days when brushing isn't possible. C.E.T. Oral Hygiene Rinse is alcohol free, and will leave your pet with clean teeth and fresh breath while providing soothing, temporary relief of minor gum irritation.

DIRECTIONS: Rinse daily following each meal as directed by your veterinarian. Hold the bottle in the upright position, below your pet's field of vision. Gently elevate the upper lip to expose the teeth and gums. Point and squeeze to apply a gentle stream of C.E.T. Oral Hygiene Rinse. Avoid touching the gum with the nozzle to avoid any injury in case of movement of your pet.

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: 0.12% chlorhexidine gluconate, 0.05% cetylpyridinium chloride, and zinc in a soothing alcohol-free vehicle. Chlorhexidine is present in free and encapsulated form.

IMPORTANCE OF ORAL HYGIENE: Plaque is the soft, grayish-white film which is formed continuously on tooth surface by the proliferation of bacteria. Within days, plaque mineralizes into calculus, or tartar, which acts as a framework for further plaque development. If not eliminated, plaque bacteria can infect the gums and structures which support the teeth. The result is gingivitis and eventually periodontal disease, which causes bad breath, pain and tooth loss. Chronic oral infection can also lead to disease in other parts of the body, including the heart, lungs and kidneys.

Spherulite technology is a patented encapsulation system developed by Virbac, which can extend the release of active ingredients at the site of application for longer efficacy.

CET Oral Rinse is good if your pets don't like having their teeth brushed. Mine don't like using this though it has cut back on dental products since I started.

Our dog's almost nightly routine for 10 years of CET toothpaste and rinse have kept her dental work at a minimum---only one deep cleaning.

This product works great! Keeps my cat's breath smelling fresh and her teeth white and clean. I've definitely noticed a reduction in plaque on her teeth. You only use a little product every day, so it definitely goes a long way and is a great value.
